Parents,

Here are a few things that will make the year easier, please keep this on your fridge and refer to it throughout the year.
-          Please send all lunch money in an envelope marked with your child’s first AND last name, the homeroom teacher (Hadden) and 5th grade lunch on the front.

-          Your child is responsible for clearing out their Friday folder each week. It is their job to bring all notes, forms and money to their teacher in order to ensure that it does not get lost.

-          Parent teacher conferences are during these months: October and January

-          Children will have math folders this year filled with study guides on material we are learning. If you’re interested in helping at home please refer to these folders. It will be filled with assessments to update you on their progress.

-          This year students will be learning the grading scale as well as standards based grading. We will grade assessments in class using averages and percents.

o   A          90 – 100
o   B          80 – 89
o   C          70 – 79
o   F          < 70

The final test grade is the only average that will appear on the report card along with the standards based report

-          Warrior cards need to be signed each Friday night (over the weekend) and will be returned Monday morning, please ask your child to explain any holepunches they received. If there is no warrior card then they have gotten 5 or more holepunches. If they are having issues that are not being corrected after several warnings/holepunches I will contact you through email or phone
