Next Tuesday is our Science test over Ch 5 lessons 1 and 2 - Cells and Microorganisms. Study the workbook pages and parts of a cell worksheet. Refer to your notes from class for the *star* test questions for review. This test will count towards the numerical average portion of our hybrid report card. Study hard :)
Math classes:
We're currently testing over Division of Whole numbers in 2nd block (7th period) and will continue to finish testing in 1st block (3rd period) on Wednesday by taking the summative assessment that counts towards the numerical average on the report card. Practice your long division problems from ACC math, visit one of the blog math sites or use examples from your notes in class to prepare for the test on Wednesday. Remember that you will have to show 2 ways to solve/model a division problem and provide written responses explaining your work. We will continue practicing more Monday and Tuesday.
Weekly Math quizzes should be coming home in Friday folders. It is over the material covered that week and will give you an idea of how your child is doing currently. They also have examples of their work in their class Math folder along with study guides (our "cheat sheets") on how to solve problems.
