Science Projects

Both blocks should have turned in a slip of paper with a decision on what type of project they will be presenting: model, research, science fair and/or 4-H. These projects MUST have a question in order for it to qualify.

Examples: Why is the sky blue? What are the differences between protons and neutrons? How does a light bulb work?

Students will research their question and present their project using whichever method project they selected. Students MUST complete a bibliography along with their project that lists all of the websites, articles, books and videos that they used when researching their question. It must be turned in listing these resources neatly along with a minimum of 2 pages on their information and/or methods used during their experiments (in a log book) as well as having some sort of visual they will use when presenting to the class. Visuals can be powerpoints, posterboards, videos/pictures, and models.

Please do not wait to start this project - it is due January 14th and can sneak up quickly what with the holidays coming up. Students will turn in their question for their project this week and any questions that do not qualify as a Science project question will be told this week that they need to come up with a new topic. By the end of this week all students should have a Science question to base their project on. This is an OUT of the classroom project. Parents are allowed to help students to some extent on this project, however the overall product should be completed by the student as well as the writing of the report.
