Math Homework

Remember tonight's homework is to use King Hector.

King  - kilo

Hector - hecto

Died - deca

Monday - meters, liters, grams

drinking - deci

chocolate - centi

milk - milli

All you are doing is moving the decimals based on your chart.

Example:             134 m = ? km
134 m (if it's just one letter you know you must start at meters, liters or grams)

Start at Monday for meters on your chart. You would move 3 places to the left to get to K for Kilo. The decimal in 134 is behind the 4. Take the decimal in 134.00 and move that decimal 3 places to the left just like in our chart so our decimal should have moved 3 places, from behind the 4 to in front of the 1.

So our final answer is: 134 m = 0.134 km
