Pi Day

Next Wednesday is Pi Day and in math world we will be celebrating it - students are encouraged to go decorate a shirt that represents Pi day or Pi related things. If they wear them on Wednesday I will give them extra credit.

Homework for tonight - complete the Side 1 part B and C on the yellow Triangle sheet. Remember our formulas!

Area of a Rectangle/Square/Parallelogram -- BASE x HEIGHT with units squared

Area of a Triangle -- BASE x HEIGHT then DIVIDE by TWO.

And for Perimeter of shapes we always add up the sides. With TRIANGLES - 3 sides so 3 numbers we should add up.

With RECTANGLES - 4 sides so 4 numbers we should add up (even if all sides aren't labeled)

Make sure your Science workbook pages for Ch 4 Lesson 3 are complete so that you get credit for homework.

ACC math must be completed and turned in (70% or better) by tomorrow morning.

CONGRATS TO HOMEROOM - AMAZING GRADES AND ESSAYS ON CH 7 TEST!
