Science Fair

Each Science Project should have been started with a question in mind. Students were told that you cannot do a Science project on dogs just because you like dogs - it would be appropriate to do a project on dogs if your question were - "How does the digestive system of a dog work?" or "Why does a dog salivate?" .... how to take care of a dog is not a scientic question and there is not much to research.  They were given many examples of ideas that involved a scientific question and involved researching and discussing a topic that had a overall question in mind.

Students who did not meet the scientific requirement of the project have until Friday to make changes/adjustments so that their project has a scientific question to it.

Students were also told they could ask for project approval if they were not sure - I am happy to answer any questions and concerns over projects so feel free to email me. I have spoken with students who may or may not need to make these modifications on their final projects so if they tell you they have to "re-do" a project, this is why. They can still use their same project idea (ex: if they talked about how to take care of a dog) they just need to apply some focus such as "How does the digestive system work in a dog?"

Sorry for any confusion!
