Divisibility Rules

Apply these rules to any number in order to find out which numbers it is divisible by:

2: any number thats last digit is divisible by 2   ex: 21,314

3: the sum of the digits adds up to a number divisible by 3       ex: 15,201       1 +5+2+0+1 = 9

4: the last two digits are divisible by 4       ex: 23,724  ---- 24 is divisible by 4

5: any number that ends in 5 or 0

6: any number that is divisible by 2 AND 3 (apply rules for 2 and 3)      ex: 12,912

8: if the last three digits are divisible by 8     ex: 14,104

9: the sum of the digits add up to a number divisible by 9    ex: 398,331     3+9+8+3+3+1 = 27 and 27 is divisible by 9

10: any number ending in 0   ex: 219,450
