Upcoming tests and quizzes

Tomorrow Science classes will have a quiz over the ecosystem vocabulary, recognizing producers, consumers (3 types) and decomposers. We have been completing a food chain chart that they will need to be prepared to fill in on the quiz and final test.

Next week we will take our SS test over Challenges of a New Nation - students will be completing the 1st study guide in the packet of their packets.

There are quizizz's over the Science and SS content already posted on google classroom.

Math classes - a reminder to fill in your calendars, make sure you are taking it to your extension teachers or parents to get your time signed off. Math calendars will be checked for completion each Monday.

Holiday Party

Our Holiday party will be Friday, December 15th.  Mrs. Kevitt and a group of parents will be organizing and shopping for the party! We are asking each child to send in $3 to go towards the cost of the items for the party. Please send it in at your earliest convenience to your child's homeroom teacher.

Thanksgiving Feast

Parents,
Thanksgiving feast will be November 10th. Parents and family are welcome to join us to celebrate that day!
Our homeroom lunch times will change to 11:45 - 12:25 that day. Your child can return the form from Friday folders if you would like to purchase a meal for additional people. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Can-A-Thon

Parents,
Our homeroom is currently collecting cans for a donation for families in need during Thanksgiving. Any spare cans, jars of peanut butter or boxes of pasta that you can spare would be greatly appreciated!

Reminders for next week

Next Thursday, Oct 19th will be our student led conferences. If you have not already, please return the form to your child's homeroom teacher. You can also email your preferred times in. If you cannot attend please let us know and we can assign someone to your child for their conference.

Friday - We will have a math quiz over factors, multiples, divisibility and prime vs. composite numbers. Please make sure your child is practicing their math facts at home to help prepare for this unit.

Science we will have a quiz over the vocabulary of the water cycle and the different types of clouds. Students can review the information in the packets or visit the powerpoints at the top Science tab on the blog.

Star Party Tuesday

On Tuesday, we will have the AR/AM parties and the STAR party!!  Your child may bring money to buy snacks!  (no more than $5).  They may also bring a towel to use as a spot to sit on for the movie!  We are looking forward to a fun day celebrating the students' hard work!

Tests this week!

Parents,
Math classes are taking our Geometry test this Friday. Please review all vocabulary in the math packet and properties of shapes information. Students will have to correctly compare and contrast shapes based on their attributes.

Our Science test over Simple Machines will be this Wednesday. Students can review  the packet Study guide or visit google classroom to access Quizizz and review online.
